Cat Society is a charity who 100% relied on donation & volunteered service. We do not have any full-time or part-time employee, so we need dedicated volunteers to ensure our daily operation.
We are now recruiting the following position:
1. Home inspector
If someone would like to adopt our cat, he or she must accept the compulsory home inspection before adoption. The purpose is to reconfirm the adopter's family is safe & suitable for adoption. We will check the installation of "window's net/grid" and talk with the potential adopter, to see if they are suitable or ready for adoption. The home inspector can select their preferred district for distributing his/her service. However, because of the unstable adoption application, the service time is not fixed and to be negociable with adopter everytime.
2. Animal Communicator
Provide animal communication service for fund-raising. Sometimes anical communicator may need to communicate with our in-house animal as well, for solving behaviour problem or other reason.
Provide photo shooting for cats in shelter.
Prepare artwork design for our events or promotion
5. Volunteer at shelter
At our Tokwawan shelter, there are usually around 150 cats waiting for adoption at any one time. Some of them may be sick/hurt or being abused before, they will live in our shelter until being adopted or passed away. We are always looking for anyone who is willing to clean the shelter, cat grooming and food or medication feeding.
No experience is necessary, all you need is a love of cats, a responsible attitude and the willingness to get your hands (and clothes) dirty!
The next requirement is for all new volunteers to complete an orientation. This includes a tour of the shelter, important skillset and safety information and an introduction to some of our cats.
Attendance at this orientation is mandatory and a fee of HK$100 will be charged, payable at the start of the class. A proportion of this fee will go towards Cat Society’s operating costs which ultimately helps us to save more cats lives. In addition each new volunteer will receive a Cat Society Volunteer T shirt after attending volunteering service for 3 months.
To volunteer just complete our online application form below.
